Music from the ether- Americana, blues, jangly rock, and power pop.
“Who’s at work in the studio?” you might ask.
I’m Nick and this is my project. I’ve played in a couple of bands, been a librarian for a number of years, almost died a couple of times, loved a lot of people. I play guitar, I play piano, I sing, and I teach. I’m receptive to questions if you have any. That guy to the left is younger and skinnier than me, but I like the picture. I think I still have that shirt.
Brad Traweek was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and is an avid guitarist and instrument collector. He first took guitar lessons at the tender age of 6 and has had the "bug" ever since. He plays in a band called Two Seven Kilo and is web manager for the world's most iconic manufacturer of guitars - you may have heard of them.
Brad’s collection of instruments and stuff should be in a museum… and they are.
Richard "Ringo" Williams
Richard “Ringo” Williams is a drummer (obviously) for Phoenix’s hardest-working band, Elvis Before Noon. It’s not his fault everybody calls him Ringo… singer Daylon Greer tagged him that when they met back in 2001 and it stuck. He keeps the beat and you can find him drumming somewhere around Phoenix pretty much any night of the week. He plays more stuff than drums.
Rick Heins might be the world’s greatest guitarist. He’s up there, I promise. He mostly plays pedal steel these days, because all of the other instruments he plays aren’t complicated enough. You can google him if you want to know more.
Mike "Slo-Mo" Brenner
Mike "Slo-Mo" Brenner is a steel guitarist from Philadelphia. He's played with Jason Molina/Magnolia Electric Co, Marah, Badly Drawn Boy, G Love, Melody Gardot, etc. In addition to his contributions in indie rock and alternative country, he has delved into bluegrass, beats, Indian and more. His first band, the Low Road, recorded on Caroline records in the 90's and toured with Bare Naked Ladies, Ben Folds and Los Lobos. Later, he recorded his own disc under the "Slo-Mo" monicker for Bong Load Records and with producer Tom Rothrock (Beck, Elliot Smith). Brenner has recorded music for ABC's 'Push, Nevada' with producer John 'Dust Brother' King, worked on NFL Films soundtracks, cut steel guitar tracks on major label and indie records, recorded in Calcutta, India with slide master Debashish Bhattacharya and continues to gig in Philly and nationally.
Chad Hines is the lead guitarist for the legendary Phoenix band Truckers on Speed. A universally respected musician, Chad has shared the stage with just about every band to come out of the valley music scene in the last 20 years. In addition to his unmistakeable style on the six string, Chad plays a mean lap steel guitar and mandolin. Chad contributes extensively to Sunstruck-related projects, including Kings of Last Call.
